If Independent Films are your thing, then you’ll certainly enjoy the Rooftop Films Summer Series sponsored by Cinereach and New Yorkmagazine. The final shows are this weekend, so get out and enjoy:
- Tonight – a free showing of Cayo on the grounds of the Queens Museum of Art in Corona Park, with live music at 6:30 and the film at 8:30
- Also tonight, Love Story (not the version from the 70s) will play at Open Road Rooftop on Grand Street in the Lower East Side, with live music at 8:30 and film at 9. You’ll need to purchase tickets for this one.
- Tomorrow you can enjoy 8 short films at the Old American Can Factory in Gowanus – you’ll also need tickets for this one, and it also starts with live music at 8:30 and ends with a reception in the courtyard.
