Exploring Tribeca

Another adventure on foot in the card set City Walks New York is a journey through Tribeca – the Triangle below Canal.  As I’ve mentioned previously, Tribeca seems to be many neighborhoods in one, and can be trendy, luxe, and spare at the same time.  Some of the highlights of this tour are:

  1. Bazzini’s Grocery on Greenwich Street, where you might just run into Robert De Niro
  2. Bouley Bakery on West Broadway
  3. Duane Park and Washington Market, now recognized as the priciest stretch of real estate in Tribeca
  4. Tribeca Film Center and Tribeca Grill, both owned by De Niro
  5. Local eateries such as Bubby’s, Nobu, Puffy’s Tavern, Chanterelle, and Square Diner.

Like the others, the map on the reverse shows other attractions, restaurants, and even nearby subway stations, in the event that you’ve got more time to spend.  It sounds like a perfect itinerary for a nice afternoon!
