The Best Movies Ever Made…According to Zagat

I read another online article, this one about Zagat’s list of the world’s best movies.  My first reaction was “Just stick with restaurants, okay?”  But as I continued to read the article, I became more intrigued.  While most of these lists are based on box office sales, Zagat based their ranking on a formula which includes acting, storyline, and production value.  The top 20:

  1. The Godfather
  2. The Godfather Part II
  3. Casablanca
  4. Schindler’s List
  5. Lawrence of Arabia
  6. To Kill a Mockingbird
  7. Star Wars
  8. The Wizard of Oz
  9. Lady Eve
  10. Singin’ in the Rain
  11. Rear Window
  12. It Happened One Night
  13. Citizen Kane
  14. Shawshank Redemption
  15. All About Eve
  16. The Pianist
  17. African Queen
  18. Third Man
  19. Finding Nemo
  20. Dr. Strangelove.

Not a bad list, actually – see the full article at http://sports.rightpundits.com/?p=5425.  Maybe they do know more than food…
