Ice Skating in Central Park

Wollman Rink in Central Park is more than 60 years old, having been built in 1949.  It’s a great place to skate, view the stars and, according to the Central Park website, “Feel the cold tingle of New York’s crisp winter air, listen to the music, and take in the incomparable surroundings as you glide (gracefully or not so) around the rink.”

New York radio station 106.7 Lite FM, New York Life Insurance, JetBlue Airways, H&R Block, and Clean Air NY are making the experience even sweeter by offering free skating.  That’s right; this Saturday and Sunday, December 11 and 12, the first 1,000 guests to arrive at Wollman Rink will skate for free, including free skate rental.  They also offer giveaways, music, and lots of holiday cheer.
