The Best New Restaurants in New York City…

…according to New York magazine, that is.  In its annual feature, Where to Eat, they list what they believe to be the 10 best new restaurants in the City:

  • Chef’s Table at Brooklyn Fare on Schermerhorn Street in Brooklyn, which also offers weekly cooking classes
  • má pêche on West 56th Street
  • Lotus of Siam on Fifth Avenue in Greenwich Village, with reportedly the best Thai food east of Las Vegas (the original restaurant is located there)
  • ABC Kitchen at the ABC Carpet & Home store on lower Broadway
  • Balaboosta on Mulberry Street, that includes a falafel and smoothie bar
  • Torrisi Italian Specialties on Mulberry Street, featuring a $50 prix-fixe gourmet dinner
  • Osteria Morini on Lafayette Street, whose chef is called the city’s hottest Italian chef (I think that’s based on his dishes, not his looks…but I could be wrong…)
  • Fatty ‘Cue on South 6th Street in Brooklyn, featuring inventive barbecue dishes
  • Manzo in Eataly on Fifth Avenue
  • Recette on 12th Street, with fancy French cooking.

       It’s time to eat…

Feel free to leave a comment, and please come back often – I write and post every day!  And if you like what I have to say and how I say it, you’ll probably enjoy my novels as well.  They’re listed below, and you can read more about them on my website, http://www.randolphmase.com.  In the near future (in the next week, I hope!), I’ll have excerpts of my books that you can read, accessible on my site.  You can get a sneak preview at http://randymase.com – designed and built by my son Don.  Please check it out!

And to view updated blogs in real-time, go to http://alphainventions.com or http://blogiche.com – they’re both great sites!
