Answers to More from New York City – A Trivia Game

       Here are the answers to those trivia items I posted on Sunday:

  1. What two boroughs occupy Long Island’s western section? – Brooklyn (where I was born) and Queens
  2. Name the five types of Chinese cuisine you can find in Chinatown – Szechuan, Cantonese, Mandarin, Hunan and Shanghai
  3. Name the museum noted for its special exhibitions on the Grand Spiral Ramp as well as its excellent collection of impressionist and post-impressionist works – Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum
  4. Back in the 1870’s, what two buildings were considered to be New York’s first skyscrapers? – Western Union and The New York Tribune Building
  5. Mary Mason Jones planned a rich man’s housing project between 57th and 58th Streets on the east side of Fifth Avenue.  What was this known as? – “Marble Row”
