A Place Called Hudson Harbor

When my wife and I went to see Michael Bublé in concert, we made a weekend of it, since the venue was the Times Union Center in Albany, about 2 hours from where we live.

We picked a restaurant for dinner quickly from an internet search of restaurants near our hotel, and went to nearby Hudson Harbor Steak & Seafood.  The place doesn’t look tremendous from the outside, and the main dining room is somewhat small.  But the food was out of this world!  My entrée was Coquilles St. Jacques, which is basically scallops with mushrooms and onions baked in a cream sauce topped with Gruyere cheese.  It was probably the tastiest scallop dish I’ve had, but I couldn’t even finish it.  But equally as good as the taste was the presentation: it came out in a hot metal dish in the shape of a crab – just tell me that doesn’t look good!

So if you’re looking for a restaurant in the Albany area, I suggest you head for Hudson Harbor…
