New York City for the Thriftster

Another New York City itinerary in Delta’s Sky “1 City//5 Ways” is the  the Thrifster (which is probably each one of us, at least to a certain extent)  itinerary; if saving money is your thing, you might try this:

  • Stay at Yotel, with rooms inspired by first-class airline cabins starting at $149 per night
  • Eat breakfast at the Galaxy Diner at Ninth Avenue and 46th Street, with an extensive menu and reasonable diner prices
  • Do some museum hopping in the morning along Museum Mile on Fifth Avenue; all of them are free
  • Stop for lunch at one of the many food trucks in New York; the food is good and much cheaper than restaurant fare
  • In the afternoon, do your own thing, remembering that you can get a lot of discount vouchers on line or even on the street.

I’ve shared five different ways to enjoy New York City, but there are many more options; more to come…

Feel free to leave a comment, and please come back often – I write and post every day!  And if you like what I have to say and how I say it, you’ll probably enjoy my novels as well.  They’re listed below, and you can read more about them on my improved website, designed and built by my son Don, http://www.randolphmase.com.  On my site, you’ll also find excerpts of my books that you can read – please check it out!
