Views From the Walkway Over the Hudson

       Here are some shots from the Walkway – above is looking north toward Albany (about 70 miles away). 

       And here’s the view looking south toward New York City (70 miles); you can see the Mid Hudson Bridge, also crossing the Hudson River.  

       But the most interesting view we saw was while we were walking east toward Poughkeepsie.  Off to the left we saw the top of a tree that looked like the tail of a 747 jet; you can see it in the center of this photo, I think.

       It’s well worth the time to visit the Walkway, and I even suggest that you walk the entire span round-trip.  Just watch out for the bicycles and dogs…
