A New Buzz in Brooklyn

There’s a new level of excitement in Brooklyn (my birthplace, but I’m sure there was no excitement on that day), thanks this time to the new Barclays Center.  In case you haven’t heard, that’s the new home of the relocated NBA Brooklyn Nets (from New Jersey), bringing a major pro sports team to the borough for the first time since the Brooklyn Dodgers moved to Los Angeles 55 years ago.

But you’ll hear more than bouncing balls at the center.  Food will be available from 37 Brooklyn vendors, including Brooklyn Bangers, Brooklyn Cupcake, Patty ‘Cue, Junior’s, and Nathan’s.  And the schedule of live performances this year includes Barbra Streisand (today and Saturday), Journey, The Who, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Green Day, and Lady Gaga.  Check it out at http://www.barclayscenter.com/, and head for Prospect Heights!

Feel free to leave a comment, and please come back often – I write and post every day!  And if you like what I have to say and how I say it, you’ll probably enjoy my novels as well.  They’re listed below, and you can read more about them on my improved website, designed and built by my son Don, http://www.randolphmase.com.  On my site, you’ll also find excerpts of my books that you can read – please check it out!

And to view updated blogs in real-time, go to http://alphainventions.com or http://kadency.com – they’re both great sites!
