A Christmas Story on Broadway!

A Christmas Story Broadway

My wife and I recently went to see A Christmas Story at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre in New York.  The movie is one of my favorite holiday movies, so I didn’t want to be disappointed.  I wasn’t.

The Broadway production is a musical, and while the songs and music didn’t really add much to the story or enjoyment, they didn’t detract either.  What I particularly liked is that what I consider to be the classic moments from the movie also appear on stage:

  1. The Major Award (Fra-gee-lay)
  2. The Flagpole
  3. The F-Word
  4. The Bully
  5. The Ho-Ho-Ho
  6. The Icicle in the Eye
  7. The Turkey, Dogs, and Chinese Dinner

If you like the movie, you’ll like the show.  But hurry – performances are scheduled to end December 30!

Feel free to leave a comment, and please come back often – I write and post every day!  And if you like what I have to say and how I say it, you’ll probably enjoy my novels as well.  They’re listed below, and you can read more about them on my improved website, designed and built by my son Don, http://www.randolphmase.com.  On my site, you’ll also find excerpts of my books that you can read – please check it out!
