The Last of “the 50 things we love about New York!”

Here are the final 10 things from the Duane Reade mural (see my post from last Sunday), along with some of my thoughts:

41.  Katz’s Delicatessen [that great scene from When Harry Met Sally!]

42.  The Garden [Madison Square Garden, that is]

43.  Canal Street [which basically separates Chinatown from Little Italy and Tribeca and SoHo]

44.  Times Square [which I’ve written about several times]

45.  Grand Central Terminal [also several posts about this landmark]

46.  The Chrysler Building [“destroyed” by Hollywood many times]

47.  Sheep Meadow [a popular spot for relaxing in Central Park]

48.  The Ball Drop [in Times Square on New Year’s Eve, of course]

49.  The skyline [and who can argue with that one?]

But wait a minute; that’s only 49!  But we should cut them some slack.   After all, number 4 was actually 2 – seven pro sports teams and the US Open.  As I said before, not a bad list at all…

Feel free to leave a comment, and please come back – I write and post often!  And if you like what I have to say and how I say it, you’ll probably enjoy my novels as well.  They’re listed below, and you can read more about them on my improved website, designed and built by my son Don,  On my site, you’ll also find excerpts of my books that you can read – please check it out!

Number 50 could have easily been “Mr. Randy Mase”.
