Most of us know that it’s not unusual to catch weirdness on the streets of New York City. It is somewhat unusual to capture the weirdness in pictures, but I came across a collection that does exactly that.
Paul McDonough arrived in the City in 1967 and immediately began taking unposed photos that capture the uniqueness of New York – such as the photo above, of men watching a parade from an unusual vantage point. If you want to see more of McDonough’s shots from the 1960s and 1970s, enjoy them at http://www.slate.com/blogs/behold/2013/03/18/paul_mcdonough_new_york_city_1968_1971_documents_the_quirky_nature_of_new.html.
